Directions:

To reach Uitvlugt Ponds from Belfast, take the R540 towards Dullstroom. After about 22km, look for the first sign indicating Uitvlugt and turn left. Cross the railway track, then proceed straight onto the gravel road for approximately 5.5km. Upon reaching the Platorand Shooting Range on your right hand side, turn right and continue for about 1km before turning left at the first intersection.

From Dullstroom take the R540 towards Belfast for 11km. Turn right onto the Uitvlugt gravel road and follow the above directions.

PLEASE NOTE: that there are two roads to reach Uitvlugt Ponds and two Uitvlugt road signs. As stated, from Belfast, you need to take the first one.

TIP: If the gravel road starts with an incline, you are on the best route towards Uitvlugt Ponds. If the gravel road starts with a decline and there is a dam on your left-hand side, turn around and at the main road, turn right towards Belfast, drive for 7.1km and turn right on the Uitvlugt Road.
